| BULFINCH TRIANGLE, a neighborhood bordered by Merrimac, Canal, and Causeway Sts near the FleetCenter (now Banknorth Garden) in downtown Boston, was also a major industrial area in the city, and the buildings still reflect as such.
The above building, at 112 Canal Street, once housed a manufacturer of chairs and office supplies. Although the building suffered a major 9 alarm fire in 1998 the advertisements remained intact. |
||||||||||||||||||
| The chair advertisement as seen from the other side of the building, along with an ad for an unknown product named Slipknot and another unrecognizable ad above. | ||||||||||||||||||
| Mirror, mirror, on the wall: Or at least, an ad for a building that used to make them, as seen from Anthony "Rip" Valenti Way. | ||||||||||||||||||
| Both furniture and lumber are advertised in this painted ad on the side of a Friend Street building. | ||||||||||||||||||
| Although it's difficult to see, this ad mentions "expert service here," and is on the side of the now abandoned Forecaster of Boston building. Note old Rapids Parking sign underneath. | ||||||||||||||||||
| Just down from the Bulfinch Triangle, half of this ad is now seen better with the elevated Central Artery no longer in its way. | ||||||||||||||||||
